question about users on line

I know these figures are forever changing but I am curious as to why that which I highlighted in yellow has such a high figure. Is it due to a high "bot" attack or are any of them actually legitimate viewers?

Our users have posted a total of 40692 articles
We have 1815 registered users
The newest registered user is david111
In total there are 7 users online :: 0 Registered, 4 Hidden and 3 Guests [ Administrator ] [ Moderator ]
Most users ever online was 89 on Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:40 pm
Registered Users: None

I'll have a look at the logs to see what was going on and get back to you

This site does get a lot of lurkers, most people lurk for a long time before they decide to post.

That's OK steve....I was just curious as it seemed to be a high number.
